Product Application : Weldable Vent

Introduction

In order to equalize pressure caused by temperature changes for motors, ventilation holes are needed in practical application for motors such as the window motor and wiper motor, which are in direct contact with external environment, as well as the starting motor and cooling motor in the engine compartment, which are exposed to long hours of severe temperature changes.

However, ventilation holes weaken motors’ protection ability to a certain extent. Therefore, it is important to have venting products which not only have high IP rating but can also equalize pressure. The venting products applied to motors shall meet the following requirements:

  1. Large air permeability per unit area;
  2. High IP rating;
  3. Small footprint;
  4. Easy installation;
  5. Long service life.
