MEMS microphones are usually very small, and any intrusion of micron-level dust particles, water and other liquids will lead to microphone failure. However, from the process of encapsulation and manufacturing to transportation, and from assembling, surface mounting to consumer usage, intrusions are everywhere. And the need for sound outlet increased protection difficulty.

 

IPRO acoustic vent is specifically developed for MEMS microphones, with IP rating of IP68 and SNR loss less than 2dB.

 

The excellent performance in sound transmission makes it possible for membrane size as small as the ones with the inner hole diameter of φ 1.3mm.

 

In addition, the heat resistant ePTFE membrane can be used for reflow soldering.
